Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since 2011, was the founding co-artistic directors for Speech of Fire. In her role as the Artistic Director of SSC, she was SSC's composer, musician and text coach, as well as set/costume/music design. While she was usually the leader inside her ensemble of actors In her final year of work alongside SSC King Lear, she became a director and lighting designer.
