Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born 12th December 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a singer/songwriter from the pop/country genre for the past 20 years. Swift's stories of young love and heartbreak have earned her wide acclaim within the 21st century. Swift was interested in the music scene from a very early time. She swiftly made her way up the ranks, beginning by playing roles in the theater for children before performing in front of a large crowd. She was age 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and in the next year she picked up the guitar and began to write songs. She drew inspiration from the musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original lyrics that expressed her feelings of the tween years and alienation. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania along with her parents in the state of Tennessee to Hendersonville when she turned 13 to devote more time to the wooing of label labels for country music in Nashville.
